These single day (roughly 4-6 hour workshops) provide you with the best opportunity to see many wood duck pairs up very close. These ducks are often very elusive and afraid of people but at this unique location that is not often the case. The location of the ducks in the greater Philadelphia, Pennsylvania region (about 10 miles NW of center city Philadelphia). The exact location will be provided at the time of booking.
The cost of this workshop is $100 per person. We will arrive at the location at 830am for an overview of the location and plan to begin shooting around 9am. Lighting in the early morning and mid afternoon can be challenging here but it can also create some very interesting effects so we will also go over how to make the most of this. Though the ducks are often very reliable, any time you deal with wildlife there is always some unpredictability. I say this because there is normally very little walking that needs to be done to see the ducks but they do swim up and down the stream at times so there may be a little bit of moving depending on where they are.
There is a limited number of spots available as to not overwhelm the ducks and to ensure that all of your questions will be answered!
Dates TBD but will be mid to late March 2019
If you are interested in a date not listed in March thru May please email me for availability.
(rain dates will be provided if necessary)

When photographing these ducks, I prefer to be at water level therefor I wear waders and sit in the water. This is certainly not required but it is an option. I advise most people to wear knee pads or bring a pad/chair to sit on if you prefer not to stand.
During your time with me I will walk you through completely how to photograph these ducks like the one pictured here that was a finalist for this years National Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year contest. *****To book this workshop please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org *****
